BKids Children's Ministry

The heart of our Children's Ministry is to create a fun and loving environment for children of all ages while teaching them about the love of our amazing God. We strive to serve parents by creating a safe and loving environment for their children. We know taking your child to a Children's Ministry class for the first time can sometimes be overwhelming. We strive to make this process as easy as possible. Our volunteers in each class are there because they have a heart & a passion to serve our children and their parents. You can feel safe & secure knowing that all of our volunteers pass a background check before they begin to serve in any class and are well trained for the responsibilities and needs of each class. We also have a highly secure check in & out process with a well-protected Children's Ministry hallway of classes.

When you first arrive, be sure to stop by our BKids Guest Check-In table in the lobby. Here you will be greeted by our friendly and welcoming Guest Check-In team. They will assist you by getting your family entered into our Safe Check In system. You will provide that team member with your family information and pick a 4-digit security number that you will use to drop off and pick up your child(ren). Pictures of the family are also taken as a secondary security measure. A printed name tag will then be placed on each child. You will be given a parent sticker with the matching number on it for pick up. For the safety of our children, no child will be released to any guest without that matching sticker. Our team member will then let you know where your child's class is located and can answer any other questions that you may have.

Goldfish is the provided snack in each of our classrooms. Teddy Grahams are provided as a substitute for any child with a dairy intolerance. If your child has any known food allergies, please provide that information to our Guest Check In team so they can ensure that's printed on your child's sticker each week.

Below are our different classes to meet the needs of our children:

The Backyard (Nursery- 5 years old)

Nursery- 1 Year: Here our volunteers share the love of Jesus with our infants and toddlers by providing them with lots of love and playtime. Our volunteers also take the time to pray over each child while they are in class.

2-3 Years: In this class, your child will enjoy structured playtime as well as learn about the love of God with our Beginner's Bible curriculum. A story is read and illustrated directly from the Bible each week. We focus on one topic/story for at least 4 weeks to reinforce the concept of each lesson. We believe it is important and foundational for each child to begin to learn and remember the amazing stories of The Bible, even at this young age.

Preschool: Our Preschooler's class is high energy and tons of fun! Each week they are learning and growing as we go even deeper with our Beginner's Bible curriculum. We reiterate these lessons with coloring sheets and/or crafts that each child can take home so you can continue to talk about the lesson at home. Here we want our kids to not only be family with the amazing stories of The Bible, but for them to begin to understand what that means in their own lives.

BOOM! (K- 3rd Grade)

The name BOOM! represents the Holy Spirit that lives inside of our kids. "...'not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit' says the Lord Almighty." Our teachers are helping our kids to know that they are never too young to let the power of God work in and through them. God can and will do mighty things in their lives!

The Gospel Project is our curriculum for this class. Now that our kids have learned all about the amazing stories of The Bible in The Backyard, our goal is to now teach them that The Bible is just a bunch of different stories; it is One Big Story that always points to God's Rescue Plan for us all... Jesus!

GLOW (4th-5th Grade)

Glow stands for Go Light Others and the World based around the scripture "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16

Our volunteers are dedicated to teaching our kids that they have something amazing inside of them that God wants them to share with others. They may be young, but they are world changers!

We continue to teach The Gospel Project, going deeper with each lesson and challenging our kids to apply all that they are learning to their own lives and to teach others around them.
