The vision of Bethel is to reach the greater-Murfreesboro area for Christ by building a multi-cultural and multi-generational church where we honor God and advance His Kingdom by helping you to become a passionate follower of Jesus Christ.

Fellowship With God

The Bible records God’s deep love and His passionate pursuit of all humankind.  And because He desires an intimate relationship with every one of us, we believe the mark of a passionate follower is that they are continually pursuing an intimate relationship with Him.   

Spiritual Growth

Spiritual growth happens as believers continue to progress in 3 vital relationships: a believer’s relationship with God, with other believers, and with unbelievers.  We expect every believer to be a disciple and follower of Jesus Christ and to steadily mature in their faith and their individual walk with God on their way to Christ-likeness.  Every aspect of our ministry should create the opportunity for people to be strengthened in their faith and to grow into everything that God has called them to be.    

Authentic Community

 Recognizing people’s need for meaningful connections and the reality that sustained life change takes place best in the context of intentional relationships, we want people to be growing in community with other believers.  We believe that a person who is continuing to mature in his faith is meaningfully and regularly connecting with other believers. True community happens when people experience genuine care, concern, encouragement, and friendship within the context of a small group of people.  Our goal is to connect every person who attends our church in meaningful relationship with others primarily through Small Groups.  

Missional Living   

God’s message of forgiveness through Christ is most effectively conveyed within and through the context of personal relationships.  Every believer is an ambassador for Christ, uniquely placed by Him into circles of relationships with the opportunity and the mandate to represent Him and present the claims of the Gospel. We encourage people to invest in the lives of their unbelieving friends and then invite them, at the appropriate time, to one of our relevant environments, where they will be encouraged in their spiritual journey.     

Compelling Environments  

Every environment should be purposefully designed so that people enjoy the experience and want to come back.  Each element of the environment should reflect excellence, from the decoration to the lighting, from the sound quality, to the worship, and the content and delivery of each presentation.  Above all else, we want to encourage and invite the presence of God so that each environment helps to connect with and relate to Him.
