Hello! We're Richard and Shannon Dixon, Associate Pastors at Bethel Murfreesboro.
We
are primarily responsible for the children’s ministry, visitors,
volunteers, and the Membership process, as well as helping to fulfill
the overall vision at Bethel. We have a desire to see people
walking in an ongoing growing relationship with God.
Basic Stuff:
My
wife Shannon and I were married Feb, 9th 2008, have two beautiful twin
girls; Machaira Grace and Savannah Joy, and live in Christiana,
just outside of Murfreesboro.
Before
joining the Bethel staff in April of 2009, I worked for the Tennessee
Department of Correction as Director of Volunteer Services.
One interesting fact about me is:
Richard - Before I became the associate pastor at Bethel, I directed over 4,200 volunteers in 16 prisons in Tennessee.
Shannon - Gave birth to two babies at the same time, Love old movies (Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire), and going antiquing or “junkin”

Richard - Graduated from MTSU in 2001 with a B.S. in Psychology
Shannon - Graduated MTSU in with a B.S. in Child and Family Studies

Richard - The Rocky Mountains in south east Colorado. (Where Shannon and I spent our honeymoon)
Shannon - Pagosa Springs Colorado, Fall Creek Falls State Park

Richard - I had an ipod touch, but I hated the apple store, so I sold it.
Shannon - I don't have one!!

Hobbies:
Richard - I love to fish, cook, shop, and read.
Shannon - I love to read, camping, and going to yard sales.
Dislikes:
Richard - Condiments on my food, mean people, and liars!
Shannon - A dirty house
Odd Facts:
Richard - I can beat anyone at Monopoly. Try me if you don’t believe me.
Shannon - Allergic to cats!
